A Brookville man, 69, lost his life in a car accident on Wednesday morning, when his vehicle was struck by a semi-truck.

The passenger of the vehicle, 49, was transported to Fayette Regional Health Systems and then transferred to Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis. His current condition is unknown.

The driver of the semi-truck told officers that his truck began to slide on the snow filled roads and he overcorrected causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The truck spun into the center line and struck the vehicle head-on, killing the driver instantly.

The truck then veered off the side of the highway, struck a utility pole and flipped over. The truck driver was not injured in the crash.
