Man Killed In Indianapolis Car Crash

Police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred late Saturday afternoon on Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis.

According to preliminary findings, it appears that Ronald Goldsmith, 53, of Indianapolis was driving alone in his Lincoln Town car at high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole in the 6400 block of Massachusetts Avenue Saturday night. He was killed as a result of his extensive injuries.

The accident remains under investigation while the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department continues investigating.
