A women in Indiana tried to outrun a freight train by cutting through a parking lot and making a quick turn, but failed to notice another train coming from the other direction. The westbound train hit the car and ran it into the eastbound train. Two of her children were pronounced dead on the scene, and the women, Edie Bolanos, is in critical condition.

Authorities released a surveillance video that caught the train accident on tape.

The 65-second video from the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District shows Edie Bolanos turning her minivan into a parking lot, racing east and making a quick turn to get across the tracks.

The van did not seem to slow down as it came toward the train tracks and the westbound train struck the vehicle on the driver's side and pushed it into the eastbound train. The accident occurred on Saturday, September 2 at 9:49 a.m.

The two children who died were identified as Crystal Bolanos, 11, and Anahi Bolanos, 8. The women's two other children that were in the vehicle at the time of the crash are in stable condition.
