Woman Dies in 3-Car Accident

An Indianapolis woman that was involved in a three-car crash on Tuesday, has died as a result of her extensive injuries.

A 2002 BMW was traveling south on Westfield Blvd, when it rear-ended a 1987 Chrysler New Yorker, said Carmel Police.

The impact of the crash pushed the Chrysler into the northbound lane, where the car hit a 2002 Ford Explorer head on. The name of the seventeen year old, driving the explorer, has not been released by the police. The BMW driver was not injured.

The woman sustained several injuries and was taken to Methodist Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 8:30am. The accident is still under investigation.
