A nurse was driving to work, at about three a.m. this morning, when her car was sideswiped by another vehicle that sped through the intersection of Berry and Clay and struck her car, according to police.

The force of the crash knocked the woman’s car into a tree and the Art Link Building on Berry Street. She was later pronounced dead at the accident scene. Her name has not yet been released, pending family notification.

Police are searching for four people believed to be in the vehicle that was involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident. They allegedly fled the accident scene on foot.

Police are seeking any information that may help them to find the individuals involved in the crash.
