Action Toys Inc., in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, announced a voluntary recall of Abalone and Venetian Carnevale Necklace Craft Kits.

The clasps on both craft kits contain high levels of lead which can be toxic if ingested by young children and can lead to adverse health effects.

To date, Action Toys has not received any reports of injury associated with the recalled products.

Two children’s jewelry craft kits – “Abalone Necklace” (item #67117) and “Venetian Carnevale Necklace” (item #67118) are included in the recall. Both kits create items to make necklaces and include beads, wire and more.

Consumers are advised to take the recalled items from children and to contact the company to arrange a free replacement.
