Healthex, in conjunction with the U.S. Product Safety Commission (CPSC), announced a recall of Zoo Pacifiers because they fail to meet safety standards. The nipple can easily separate from the base, posing a choking hazard to small children.

To date, the company has not received any report of injury.

The recall includes 40,000 Zoo Pacifiers with animal cartoon figures as handles. The items, which were sold nationwide, have “Made in Spain” printed on the handle.

The agency advises consumers to take the recalled pacifiers away from young children and to contact Healthtex for an exchange or refund.

Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact Healthtex toll-free at (866) 348-5080 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
