Juice Dispensers Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

IMI Cornelius, in conjunction with the CPSC, announced a voluntary recall of Quest Commercial Juice Dispensers due to fraying wire which can cause the device to overheat, posing a fire hazard.

No injuries have been reported to the company, but they have received one report of a transformer smoking and smoldering.

Dispensers with serial numbers starting with the following characters are included in this recall:

62E0416JT to 62E0441JT
62F0425JT to 62F0453JT
62F0502JT to 62F0553JT
62F0601JT to 62F0631JT
72A0107JT to 72A0148JT
72A0303JT to 72A0350JT

72C0305JT to 72C0352JT

The juicers were sold nationwide to commercial customers from February 2001 through August 2006. They were manufactured in the United States.

Customers should inspect the wire harness located in the bottom of the cabinet. If the colored wiring is cut or cracked, the unit should not be used [and unplugged] and the company should be contacted for a free repair kit.
