Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Crash With SUV

A motorcyclist was critically injured in a motorcycle accident Friday after being struck by an SUV in a central Lubbock intersection, police said.

The motorcyclist, 29, was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition after the accident which involved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Jeep Liberty. According to a hospital supervisor, he remained in critical condition Friday night at UMC.

He was riding his bike north on Indiana Avenue when he was struck by a westbound SUV that ran a stop sign on 32nd Street.

The driver of the SUV, 22, and other passengers in the vehicle were not injured.
